Initial Comment:
Hi,

minicom does not display received characters while
it is pausing in a macro.

If you have a macro like:

pu pmac1            ^M^~tftp^M^~^~^~^~^~^~^~go 20000^M

the earliest feedback will be after 8s,
even if the device you are connected to responds 
(or bails out) much earlier. 

This makes it very inconvenient to automize anything
that takes longer than, say, 2 seconds.
