Hi,
it would be nice if minicom could cooperate with RFC 2217 compliant serial ports.

There are some hardware devices which offer RFC 2217 and also software like:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ser2net 
which can give RFC 2217 compliant access to your serial ports on a network.
