Dear colleagues,

after a frustrating day with netlink sockets in python, I have given
up and resorted to parsing iproute's monitor output. Python does not
have any infrastructure yet to handle NETLINK messages, so this'll
do for now.

I shall work next on the control socket interface to allow processes
such as ifup to tell netconfd to up an interface. Another email
forthcoming.

Also, commit messages should now be working and are sent to this
(non-archived) list:
  http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/netconf-commits

git is pretty cool.
