Yes, this sounds about right. The 1.0 release is an in-progress
release, usable, but not suitable for mainline deployment (Debian
base, default in other distros, etc). I want to take the feedback
from 1.0 and incorporate it into a rewrite, ideally this time using
C/C++. That's needed for netconf to enter any distro base system,
I think, and by that time, the prototyping has been done and
Python's benefits have become less important.
