Peter,

I just did a quick search, and it doesn't appear that usbhid-ups does
a 'Set Idle' HID request anywhere. Could it be that the device is
waiting for that before it starts sending back interrupt pipe ACK
packets? IIRC, Windows does a 'Set Idle(0)' request when devices are
plugged in, then the userspace program is free to send a non-zero
value.
