The "2.1" is out-of-date.

While binaries built from Subversion (or a snapshot of the SVN trunk)
currently use "2.3.0" as the placeholder version number, the
Development tree versions are now identified by the branch (usually
the "trunk") and the repository revision (currently r1114).

Once you get the Subversion client installed, you can check out a copy
of the trunk ("svn co svn://svn.debian.org/nut/trunk"). Further
updates are quicker - a "svn update" in that directory will pull down
any changes made by developers since the last checkout or update.

If you prefer not to use Subversion, automatically generated source
tarballs are available from the "Debian-etch-x86" column of this page,
at the "[tarball]" links:

   http://buildbot.ghz.cc/public/nut/

I still have to occasionally set the permissions manually, so email me
off-list if you get a 403 error.

Further SVN instructions are in this thread (shameless linking, I
know): http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/nut-upsdev/2006-February/000710.html
