As to the latter, time remaining is reported in seconds (not minutes),  
so if the load is small, this doesn't sound unreasonable. See  
'docs/new-names.txt'. With regard to the battery charge, there is  
probably not much we can do about that. The driver will report what we  
read from the UPS ad verbatim, so it's garbage in, garbage out. We  
would like to see the output from 'upsc' anyway, so that we can add  
this to our collection of reports.

Unplugging is usually not a good idea, since that will also disconnect  
the ground connection. A switchable power strip is a better choice for  
tests like this.
