Hi,

This isn't the path that has been taken. Recently, Julien removed the
work that I've made to use the same packages as in Ubuntu:

This makes Debian packaging cleaner, IMHO. But anyway, yes, you can have
a look into Ubuntu's packaging and compare.

Well, I only done the work for Cactus. Recently, Ghe, Julien and Loic
have been doing a lot of work on it, and not me. Openstack is now team
maintained. We aim at having Openstack Essex be ready for Wheezy.

I'm currently continuing to work on XCP packaging in Debian. It's
starting to take shape, with Xen 4.1.2-2 that has just reach SID with
new ocaml binary we needed. This will bring a nice Xen support for
Openstack in Debian.

If you want to help, you can join the Alioth project:

http://alioth.debian.org/projects/openstack/

We maintain all the packaging in Git. What do you want to work on exactly?

Thomas
