The above sounds *great* and I'll be happy to see Debian take part in
it. Being entirely at the technical level, it would have been something
where I'd have simply pointed people from OpenStack and other distro to
the relevant maintainers in Debian. As it seems you're on that topic
already, it's one thing less I need to worry about :-)

This is really a question for SPI, I'm afraid. We're in very good
relationships with SPI but I'm not on the SPI board and I can't speak
for them. I suggest you contact them mailing the SPI board; feel free to
keep me in the loop.
