[parted-devel] gnu parted not compiling

hi

well, i think this might be a lame question but after quite much trying i
thought i shud ask this in this mailing list.

I have been trying to compile gnu parted on my suse linux 10.0 system and it
doesnt compile.
the compiler says that it is treating the errors as warnings, i tried
removing the -Werror flag from compilation. that did lead to compiling the
project a little further, but then it got stuck while compiling constraint.c

I am using gcc version 4.0.1 and linux kernel version 2.6.11

I have even tried compiling the project on fedora core 4 system

please help!
