The subject line of this patch makes it sound like it should be an
amended version of the previous one, but looking at the diff shows
that it is actually a subsequent change on top of the previous commit.
 Either it should be squashed into the previous one or the change log
entry should be more clear that it is a subsequent change that only
adds error handling and disables the message in script mode.  I'd
prefer the former.

Finally, again, please do not trim me from the Cc list.  I follow the
RFCs and set up the headers to inform all that I wish to be Cced.
