[parted-devel] Is it possible to define a partition number when creating a partition?

yes, as I know, the num can not be changed and specified. What is your
purpose of creating  a partition like you said 1,2,4 without 3? The more
convenient way I can tell,
is the name. You can use the partition name to control the partitions.
