reopen 380226
found 380226 1.7.1-4
thanks

I'm afraid this version of libparted is still broken when it comes to
resizing an NTFS partition.

Partition before resize (units = sectors):
   /dev/sda1 * 2048 40964047 20480000 7 HPFS/NTFS
Partition after resize (units = sectors):
   /dev/sda1 * 16065 29318624 14651280 7 HPFS/NTFS

It seems that libparted now aligns the partition on the 2nd cylinder as
the header from fdisk (with units = cylinders) shows:
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

I also endlessly get the following messages in the partman log that I
cannot remember ever having seen before:
parted_server: resize_partition(openfs=false)
parted_server: try to check the file system for errors
parted_server: successfully checked

I would suggest reverting to the previous version in unstable and
requesting any new version to be tested before uploading it.

Cheers,
FJP
