[Parted-maintainers] Bug#440675: Can this be applied

Hi Ottavio,
I just had a look at d-i and noticed that it's still using libparted1.7.
Can we get the patch applied to Debian's libparted 1.7 to get multipath
in d-i further? With this patch + the other stuff from today the only
things missing is the bootloader code cleanup. 

I'll be happy to rewrite the patch to 1.8 - we can have things much
cleaner there since 1.8 uses libdevmapper, but we could get this in
parallel to getting the udeb (and lenny) into shape concerning mp
support.
