Package: parted
Version: 2.3-1
Severity: normal

# parted /dev/sda print
Model: ATA WDC WD1002FBYS-0 (scsi)
Disk /dev/sda: 1000GB
Sector size (logical/physical): 512B/512B
Partition Table: gpt

Number Start End Size File system Name Flags
 1 1049kB 2097kB 1049kB grub2 bios_grub
 2 2097kB 602MB 600MB boot

# parted -- /dev/sda mkpart foo ext2 602MB -1s
Warning: You requested a partition from 602MB to 1000GB.
The closest location we can manage is 602MB to 1000GB.
Is this still acceptable to you?
Yes/No? ^C
#

Parted says that my request cannot be fulfilled and offers exactly
what I requested. In an interactive session, I simply say Yes and get
what I want, but in a script, with --script on the command line, I get
an exit code 1 and an abort.

Greetings
Marc
