Bug#569544: pbuilder create fails trying to mount proc

Hi,

The command issued was: "pbuilder create --basetgz /home/chroot/i386new.tgz --distribution sid --architecture i386"
Everything seems to go well downloading and validating but finishes with:

I: Extracting zlib1g...
W: Failure trying to run: chroot /var/cache/pbuilder/build/29510/. mount -t proc proc /proc
E: debootstrap failed

I: removing directory /var/cache/pbuilder/build//29510 and its subdirectories
[EOL]

I have no special configuration, and of course /proc does exist :) so 
thanks in advance for any advice on how to fix this.
