I don't think this patch applies to us as-is. I don't even see what it should
do. It seems complementary to another change I can see you did but I don't even
understand what you're trying to accomplish.

Looking at the whole ubuntu delta I doo see other changes, but I'm not really
sure what they try to accomplish.

I just tried building the current git master on vivid as-is and it just builds.
