With Debian's default sudo configuration, it doesn't work.

According to the pbuilder manual[*], the -E option should be
unnecessary anyway:

  DIST=gutsy sudo pbuilder create

  DIST=sid sudo pbuilder create --mirror http://http.us.debian.org/debian
