Hi,

I have been able to reproduce it. Well, I have had this error in one package 
since one year ago I have been very frustrating till Mattia target me to this 
bug.

To reproduce it, assuming that you have a pbuilder with unstable just:

mkdir assimp
cd assimp
apt-get source assimp
cd assimp-3.2~dfsg
DIST=unstable DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS="parallel=8" pdebuild

And  I can confirm that dropping the PBUILDERSATISFYDEPENDSCMD line and running 
update, the error disappears.

The question then is why this line could produce the error is some packages 
and in other no.
