I googled for ccid, found the "CCID free software driver" site. Clicked
on Download and followed the link to the latest version of ccid there,
which led me to https://alioth.debian.org/frs/?group_id=30105 . There I
wanted to download the version 1.4.12 which prompted me with the login page.
