Thanks! I should probably have done some more homework first myself, sorry
about that. I was thinking of signal 11 which led me to the wrong track.

I see this should already be fixed upstream in threads-shared-1.31:

as confirmed by the recent successful build of the separate
libthreads-shared-perl package:
