Bug#782760: perl: CI testing

Package: perl
Version: 5.20.2-3
Severity: wishlist
We should look at adding some autopkgtest cases for continuous
integration. Unlike with lib.*-perl packages, I don't think there's
too much use in running the main Perl test suite against the installed
package, as it's so self contained.
Some ideas, mainly with an eye of catching ABI breakage and the like.
- install a leaf package from the archive with lots of Perl dependencies
- build a package from the archive with lots of Perl dependencies and
a test suite
- install something from CPAN (is internet access allowed with the tests?)
- maybe install all the separately packaged dual-life modules
- read/write a few DB/GDBM/NDBM files
- unfreeze and freeze a Storable structure
