The following commit has been merged in the master branch:
commit ae866baa0f8302d037f0ada2664064417d0f30a7
Author: Andreas Beckmann <debian at abeckmann.de>
Date: Thu Jan 5 01:07:12 2012 +0100

    speedup detect_well_known_errors

cache the output of ls -tr1 (once for all packages)
use grep to extract information for the current package
this is much faster than running ls for each package

    Signed-off-by: Andreas Beckmann <debian at abeckmann.de>
