severity 288161 important
thanks

It is not a requirement in policy that library package names match the
library soname, it is only a requirement that the package name change when
the library soname changes.

This happens more frequently for libace than for other libraries, because
the patchlevel is included in the soname; as long as the maintainers are
aware of that (and I've just discussed this with Konstantinos Margaritis on
IRC), and given that the only package that depends on the old version of the
libace ABI is already removed from testing and that this library did not
ship with woody , the current package state is not release-critical.

Thanks,
