I have a release almost ready. The good news is that thanks to `make
install' the debian/rules has really reduced a lot. I'll commit these
changes when I'm back home.

You'll find attached a patch that adds DESTDIR on top of
INSTALL_PREFIX, so that you can install in debian/tmp and specify
INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr

What remains to be done:
 - add PerlACE, MPC and netsvcs back. I add to drop them for now.
 - review existing symlinks in /usr/lib/ace: do we still need them?
 - carefully compare with current package.
 - test installation and migration.
