[Pkg-ace-devel] Bug#734393: libace-6.1.2: Rebuild ace 6.1.2 with newer toolchain

Package: libace-6.1.2
Version: 6.1.2-1
Severity: important

I believe the current build of ace 6.1.2-1 in experimental also suffers from
bug #723856. When trying to build my project, I recieved the same error message

undefined reference to `ACE_Event_Handler::handle_signal(int, siginfo_t*,
ucontext*)'

as described in that bug report.

The build log says it was built with gcc-4.6:
https://buildd.debian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=ace&arch=amd64&ver=6.1.2-1&stamp=1340265748

When I rebuilt the package on my machine with gcc-4.8 and then used those
libraries to link against, the error disappeared and my project built
successfully.

Because of this bug, there is currently no usuable set of ACE and TAO libraries
in stable or above.
