[Pkg-ace-devel] Attempt to get new x.2.7 packaged on debian?

Hi,

> Are you really going to get TAO back into the debian distro? I have had to move to the OpenSUSE hosted repository after they removed TAO from Debian because of some licensing issue. This works, but there always seem to be some goofy dependency fights I have to deal with between the 2 repositories. I would be very happy if TAO makes it back onto the Debian repositories.

As first step I want to get ACE back and make sure that with each new
ACE release we are able to upgrade the Debian packaging.

Next step would be TAO, maybe we can replace some of the problematic
parts with something new, but that would be more work, that has to be
funded by some users at some point.

Regards,

Johnny
