I'm not a acpi developer but I'm aware of the fact that dropping
/proc/acpi/event configuration by acpid (and using netlink) needs some serious
rewrites in the code base. I think I've posted a simple resolution what to do
to not have the problem with reading proc/acpi/event by acpid douring
configuration / further usage (since the kernel did not include this file due
to the fact of not enabling it in the config file).
