[Pkg-acpi-devel] Bug#649562: also fails to lock due to pinky not finding the users

Hi!

Maybe this isn't related to this bug as it exposes other errors, but I'd
like you to know it as rewriting something here could maybe also solve other
locking problems. If you prefer me to open another bug just let me know.

The problem in this case seems to be that pinky, which you are using on
/usr/share/acpi-support/power-funcs is not able to return user
info when you log in using some display managers like lightdm (see
http://bugs.debian.org/648604). However as it is stated in that bug report
ck-history is able to identify the users, however ck-history may not be
available on every machine. I suppose I'm also seeing just some of the cases
here, I'd love to know what to do with this problem.

Is this something that should be fixed on lightdm and you can continue using
pinky without problems? or should the power-funcs script provide some other
way to identify the users like I did with my patch to use ck-history on the
lightdm bug (that's just though as a quick hack, if you want something more
elavorated just give me the specs and I'll write it).

Regards...
