Hello,
I installed the arch all packages :
$ dpkg -l|grep acpi-support
ii  acpi-support                         0.138-12
ii  acpi-support-base                    0.138-12

However, the screen is still not locked when I lid off.

The package acpi-fakekey is not available in version 0.138-12 for arch all
or arch i386, I don't know if it matters.
And you are right, the 0.138-12 packages are not built for i386.
Igor.
