this is what I get each time I boot linux or I do alsa restart :

   SBAWE: audio pnp configure failure
   Sound Blaster 16 soundcard not found or device busy
   In case, if you have a non AWE sound card try sb16 module instead
   ....

(Sorry I couldn't copy/paste the exact message but it's simillar)

This is not a hardware problem as ISApnp detects the sound card correctly
(the sound card works correctly under windows too)
