Both of us know our bottleneck many times has been the importing.
Hopefully this will help us deliver new alsa releases on time now...

We'll find out with 1.0.7 :)

We also need to do -lib, but that needs a check for shlib bumping. If
there's a shlib bump we'd better ask -release first. I think they'll
tell us not to upload though.

PS: Does anyone know off-hand how to tell svn to mail stuff to the
mailing list?
