Package: alsa-xmms
Version: 0.9.9b-1
Severity: important

When I enable the ALSA output plugin, I get the following debug message:

** WARNING **: buffer size == period size

and xmms freezes. The message above also appears in a gtk box, as does the
usual message about not being able to open the audio device. This happens on
a heavily upgraded woody system, so the reason might be that I have some
obsolete libraries. On the other hand mplayer and alsaplayer work fine
without the oss emulation layer on this system.

I am closing bug reports against alsa-source that are more than one year
old and that relate to upstream aspects of the package. The reports are
too old to be of any use now.
