[Pkg-alsa-devel] Bug#428477: Crackling and noise on playback with Intel HDA chip & new ALSA

Since upgrading from libasound2 1.0.13-2 to 1.0.14-1, playback of any
audio stream on an Intel HDA chip (analog output) produces a lot of
noise and cracking, at all volume levels.

I have no idea what the issue is that's causing this.  Blowing away
/var/lib/alsa/asound.state and reloading modules didn't help, although
reverting to libasound2 1.0.13-2 did resolve the issue.
