[Pkg-alsa-devel] Bug#449418: biarch plugin directory not used in configure

Package: lib32asound2
Version: 1.0.14a-2
Severity: important

Hi,

It seems the biarch support in ALSA is still incomplete, and part of
the problem is that the paths to the 'other arch''s libraries isn't
passed into the configuration.

In debian/rules of alsa-lib, there is a variable called bilibdir,
which contains the path to the ALSA plugins, but it isn't passed to
./configure using the --with-plugindir flag. There might be more
places where the incorrect default value for the library path is
assumed.

Another problem with biarch support is that alsa-plugins doesn't
support biarch-ity at all (see #436201).

Sincerely,

Stijn van Drongelen
