alsa-source builds fine with 2.6.30.
Please notice this kernel provides the drivers form alsa 1.0.20.

Maybe a bug un the headers package?

It seems your headers are not ok or you did something wrong
initializing the build. Or are the headers buggy?
How did you tried it?
