Thanks for your prompt response. i shall listed some of my settings for
better diagnosis.

At alsamixer:
Card: HDA Intel
Chip: Realtek ALC269

mic and internal mic are not mute and reached 71.
mic boost and internal mic boost are 33
capture is about 72
Input Source is set to Internal Mic

At /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf added below line at the bottom.
options snd-hda-intel model=auto

Using Audacity still has no sound. Do you need to change settings at
Audacity? Skype test call cannot receive any voice. What is your setup to
make it works? Thanks.
