Ok, as for the removal of your changelog bit for the for loop you had done,
it's entirely up to you, but you did some work and now it doesn't show up.
Even if one change contradicts another one, it's not bad to keep your stuff
even if my later changes invalidated them. But again, this is up to you. ;)

Well, I don't see much gain right now. I'm more used to SVN, but if we
have good reasons to do it, we can consider it.

Oh, I'm not sure if the alsa-utils preinst is complete wrt conffiles. If
you see anything that's missing in there, please update at will.
