Package: libasound2
Version: 1.0.21a-1
Severity: normal

Hello,

In my ~/.asoundrc I have defined the following example device
pcm.s2 {
	type route
	slave.pcm surround51
	slave.channels 6
# 0,1 - front
	ttable.0.0 1
	ttable.1.1 1
# 2,3 - rear
#	ttable.0.2 1
#	ttable.1.3 1
# 4,5 - center_lfe
	ttable.0.4 1
	ttable.1.5 1
}
It duplicates output to two jacks (e.g. two pair of headphones).

I can manually tell to programs to use it (e.g. aplay -D s2 file.wav)
with success. Programs are unable to detect it automatically (and then display to
choice).

Regards
