[Pkg-alsa-devel] linux-sound-base depends on module-init-tools?

Greetings,

Thank you for the quick and thorough reply.  If you will indulge me a bit
further - how can I tell dpkg to forget about the dependency?  --purge
--force-depends will get module-init-tools removed, but then the first thing
it does when I try to install anything else is try to re-install
module-init-tools.
