As I had to package it about a half year before it entered debian, it 
wasn't that tricky, because I was able to reuse almost the complete 
modification from 2.6-branch, same aplies  for 2.8.10 which I had to 
package around 3 month ago. The patch for the security issue, which is 
included in the current version in unstable, applies with changes in 
2.8.110, too.

The only bigger problem that occured was with the python part , because 
I don't speak one word python. If someone is able to take care about 
that I don't see any problems.

The wx upstream is really great, you can ask for help at any tiome, and 
they address most issues that come through our bugtracker, so only some 
wishlist-bugs stay unsolved.
