shirish शिरीष, could you please confirm that you've got a "data"
directory in your $HOME directory, or in whatever directory you're
running Nautilus from? If so, then that's a known bug, that has been
fixed in upstream Git.

Julien, could you please confirm that your fix for MAT#7858 (that was
initially about mat-gui only) also fixes the problem in the general
case, and specifically for the Nautilus extension?

[Optimistically adjusting the bug report's metadata as if the answer
to both questions was "yes" -- will update it if it's not the case.]
