Package: audacious
Version: 2.1-1
Severity: normal
Hi!
I forgot to report this bug when I began to experience it (that is to
say, when I began to experience #516592, if I recall correctly).
Anyway, I still experience it, and hence I am reporting it now.
The problem is that audacious GUI partially disappears under some
conditions.
More precisely: the main player window (in rolled up status) happens
to partially disappear, when I press the play button and audacious is
waiting for a network connection to be established or is buffering the
network stream.
Whenever this happens, everything is back to normal behavior in a
short time.
In order to clarify, I prepared two screenshots.
You should find them attached.
File 'shot0.png' shows the rolled up main player window (stacked on
top of the rolled up playlist editor window). This is the normal
look of the GUI, with my configuration.
When I press the play button, I shortly see the GUI as depicted in
file 'shot1.png'. Please notice the little black rectangle: the
rest of the main player window is not drawn at all!
What can be seen instead is the X background
(I use /usr/share/wallpapers/The-Brothers-Gibb-1.JPG from
the propaganda-debian package).
Within a short time, everything is back to its normal look (that is to
say, back to 'shot0.png').
I often (but not always) experience this awkward misbehavior.
Even the duration of the problem varies: sometimes it lasts longer,
sometimes it is almost invisible... maybe it depends on network
latency, I don't know...
I hope it can be fixed soon, since it is annoying.
Thanks for your time.
