[Pkg-ayatana-devel] Time to remove indicator packages?

Hi,

I'm wondering if it isn't time to throw in the towel on pkg-ayatana? I
just made an upload of libdbusmenu that closed an RC bug (#707409).
The patch fixing it was sitting in the BTS for sometime. This was the
first upload of a pkg-ayatana package in quite some time. A number of
them have already been removed from testing, and they nearly all have
new upstream releases that haven't been imported to Debian. I
personally haven't used any of these packages on a Debian system in a
number of years.

With the exception of maybe notify-osd, I think it is time to remove
these from Debian altogether. If I don't receive any push back on
this, I plan to file removal bugs for them sometime in the near
future. Two weeks?

Thoughts?

CCing everyone in the Uploader fields of these packages as I suspect
no one follows this list anymore.

Thanks!
