Hi,
I had some correspondence with this list in July. I think Dirk created an
account for me, but then I did not do anything after that.
I tried to use the Debian Bioconductor packages from
deb http://public.pzr.uni-rostock.de/~moeller/mirror/ ./
on a AMD64 machine. Even though it appears these packages are built
for i386, apt happily installed them.
I think there is some configuration necessary so that apt knows the
packages do not work for amd64.
I think I'll take a shot at compiling these packages for AMD64. Would
there be any interest in putting these packages in your repository?
I had some difficulty checking out from cvs under my registered name. I
tried
faheem at theda:/usr/local/src/bioc$ export CVS_RSH=ssh
faheem at theda:/usr/local/src/bioc$ cvs -z3
-d:ext:faheem-guest at cvs.alioth.debian.org:/cvsroot/pkg-bioc co tools
It asks for my alioth password, which I know is valid because I used it to
log into alioth. However, I can't use to to get in here. Am I doing
something wrong?
I was able to check out as anonymous. however, Dirk wrote to me on 26th
July
"You need to register with alioth (and get set up with this project) to
check out the build script."
As I missing something?
I note packages corresponding to
http://www.bioconductor.org/packages/data/annotation/stable/src/contrib/html/
are not in the package repository. Is there some reason these have not
been packaged?
Faheem.
