[Pkg-blender-maintainers] Severly outdated build environment for Etch! (was: Buildd problem? Blender not compiling...)

Hi dear buildd admins and fellow Blender maintainers,

some more data on this, just in case you haven't further investigated
yet ...

ARM:
The arm build of -5etch1 on toffee lists
| Toolchain package versions: libc6-dev_2.3.6-7 linux-kernel-headers_2.6.13+0rc3-2 gcc-4.1_4.1.1-21 g++-4.1_ binutils_2.16.1cvs20051214-1 libstdc++6-4.1-dev_ libstdc++6_4.1.1-21
which appears to be outdated by about a year.
Furthermore, this "g++-4.1_" package as listed looks highly suspicious
to me.

MIPS:
The mips build of -5etch1 on mayr lists
| Toolchain package versions: libc6-dev_2.3.5-8 linux-kernel-headers_2.6.13+0rc3-2 gcc-4.1_4.1.1-13 binutils_2.17-2 libstdc++6_4.1.1-13
which appears to be outdated by about 17 months.

SPARC:
The sparc build of -5etch1 on spontini lists
| Toolchain package versions: libc6-dev_2.3.6-15 linux-kernel-headers_2.6.13+0rc3-2 gcc-4.1_4.1.1-21 binutils_2.17-1 libstdc++6_4.1.1-21
which appears to be outdated by about 10 months.

The other architectures had a more up-to-date build environment and
managed to build -5etch1 just fine (except for m68k due to a timeout).
Furthermore, -6 which was recently uploaded to unstable is identical
code-wise and built just fine on _all_ architectures in unstable, where
the toolchain currently is the same as in testing.

SUMMARY:
Please update requeue blender_2.42a-5etch1 for building in an *updated*
build environment for Etch so we can get a security fix into the next
stable release.

Cheers,
Flo
