Package: bluez-passkey-gnome
Version: 0.5-2
Followup-For: Bug #394048

I just installed blues-passkey-gnome and started bt-applet. On my
fvwm desktop nothing happened (no popup, no icon, nothing!). I
ignored this and started gnokii, the cellphone asked me for a PIN, I
entered one and after this I see (using strace) that bt-applet seems
to do something. I expected that it would open a popup and ask me for
a PIN, but nothing happend. Some time later the job run into a
timeout and the pairing failed.

I stopped bt-applet and compiled passkey-agent from bluez-utils
source. I started this program with a fixed key and now I'm able to
access may cellphone via bluetooth.

So it seems, hat bluez-passkey-gnome either does not do anything or it
needs a Gnome desktop or the like to open a popup and ask for the PIN.

Or did I simply miss something?

I just downloaded bluez-gnome 0.6, compiled it on my AMD64, installed
it, but the behavior is the same, which means, that don't see anything
(except via strace).
