[Pkg-bluetooth-maintainers] Bug#845503: bluetooth: blueman fatal D-Bus exceptions (Bluetooth ver: <= 4.0, CHIP: CSR8510 A10 and ath3k based)

Package: bluetooth
Version: 5.23-2
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,
blueman cannot send or receive files with OBEX and cannot send or receive
sounds with any connected adapter. It is also unstable (sometimes fails the
connection, other times starts an audio connection without user interaction)
and shows GUI errors when using a Bluetooth 4.0 (CE and CSR 4.0 compliant)
adapter.

With Bluetooth 4.0 (CSR8510 A10) blueman-adapters crashes immediately with the
error "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.Spawn.ChildExited: Launch helper exited with
unknown return code 1" and then continues to work with reduced and faulty
functionality.
Screenshot: https://s21.postimg.org/wm7sikzif/bluez_crash.png

With other adapters (Atheros based) it does not show GUI errors, but the
functionality is reduced like in the previous case.

In both cases the bluetooth peer (a mobile Android phone) can pair and connect,
but the connection fails after a few seconds and only the Debian side notices
it.
Also, any file transfer fails silently if started on Android and a connection
timeout error is shown if started on the workstation.

The bluez suite correctly identifies the surrounding devices and the pairing
partially succeeds, but the user cannot send or receive files and any attempt
of a voice connection fails with "blueman.bluez.errors.DBusFailedError: No such
file or directory".

I think that the Debian syslog has important informations for us:
[...]
        org.blueman.Mechanism[963]: conf_service()
        org.blueman.Mechanism[963]: dbus.exceptions.DBusException:
org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.AccessDenied: Connection ":1.201" is not allowed to
own the service "org.blueman.Mechanism" due to security policies in the
configuration file
        dbus[963]: [system] Activated service 'org.blueman.Mechanism' failed:
Launch helper exited with unknown return code 1
        dbus[963]: [system] Activating service name='org.blueman.Mechanism'
(using servicehelper)
[...]

I hope that the problem can be solved with a simple configuration change.
Thank you for your patience.
