[pkg-boinc-devel] Bug#360143: boinc-manager: Connecting to otherhost troublesome

Hi, it is something for upstream.

I did an strace when starting boincmgr and found it to read the file ".BOINC
Manager" of my home directory in a loop. I presume this is only for the
communication with the client, whatever, I found this line there

[ComputerMRU]
0=localhost

which may be of your interest to change to whatever you desire. What I should
have done instead is to look at the source and check out what files it opens.
Not this morning, though. Something must be there since it all works
smoothly on my machine. Google does not find any documents in this respect.
Your turn now. What you could help with are man pages for
/etc/boinc-client/
gui_rpc_auth.cfg  remote_hosts.cfg
which are kind of missing, still. I still have a lot of hope in fine Debian
users :o)

Frank, any idea from your side?

Good luck!

Steffen
