Hello Debian,

GPL and LGPL projects soon to be marked as GPL v2 and LGPL v2.1
----------------------------------------------------------------

When you register a project in Launchpad, it asks your to specify the
licence under which you release the project's code. Right now,
Launchpad doesn't distinguish between different versions of the GPL
and LGPL.

With the release of Launchpad 1.2.4 (at 02.00 UTC on Thursday 2nd
May), Launchpad will record which version of the GPL or LGPL a project
uses, including:

 * GNU GPL version 2
 * GNU GPL version 3
 * GNU LGPL version 2.1
 * GNU LGPL version 3.

Projects already marked as GPL or LGPL will automatically be recorded
as GPL v2 and LGPL v2.1 respectively. You're the registered owner of
the following affected projects:

 * kboincspy

If any of these projects actually uses version 3 of the GPL or LGPL,
please update its licence information after the 2nd May release of
Launchpad 1.2.4. Changing the project licence is easy: click "Change
details" in the "Actions" menu on your project's overview page, then
select from the list towards the bottom of the page.

If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them.

Thanks!
Edwin
